We've been running things here at Tankshal Ni Pole for quite a few years now. Our shop is sitting right across from N C Bodiwala College on Kalupur Road. If you are familiar with this part of Kalupur, you know how packed and busy the streets get with all the students, local vendors, and the constant flow of traffic. We open up the shop pretty early every morning, usually right after grabbing a quick cup of tea from the stall just down the lane. Most days it's just a couple of us handling whatever comes through the door. It is a bit of a tight space inside, but we've managed to get everything sorted into its own corner over time. We don't really bother with those fancy displays or bright lights you see in the malls. People just drop by because they know exactly where to find us and they know we'll be here. Sometimes it gets a little bit chaotic with all the noise from the main road and the shouting of the street sellers, but that's just the way it is around here and we've grown to like it. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the seasons, but our little spot has stayed pretty much the same. There is a lot of history in these narrow lanes if you take the time to look. Most of our regulars are folks who have lived in the pole for generations or students.
