Ravi Enterprise

Our shop, Ravi Enterprise, is at Plot No. L/30/46/5 in Phase 3 of the GIDC. If you have ever been to a GIDC area, you know how the plot numbers go—it’s a bit of a mouthful to say. We are deep inside the phase, away from the main road. The area is full of small workshops and factories. Every morning, the sound of shutters opening echoes down the street. We have a modest setup here. It’s one main room for the work and a tiny mezzanine for storage. We keep our tools on the wall and try to keep them organized, but by midday, things usually get scattered. The floor is stained from years of work, and we don’t bother scrubbing it too much. We get a lot of trucks passing by, which can be noisy, but it’s just the sound of the neighborhood. We’ve had this spot for quite some time now. The landlord is a decent guy who leaves us to our business. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a few of us making sure everything gets done correctly. We don’t spend money on brochures or fancy websites. People usually find us through word of mouth or by seeing the small board we have out front. It’s a practical place for practical work. We usually close up right as the streetlights come on and the traffic starts to thin out.
