Jalaram Hardware

Jalaram Hardware is right on the ground floor of the Goyal Complex. We are at shop number 14, directly across from Prakash School, so we see all the parents and kids every morning and afternoon. Being in the Vastrapur Satellite area means it’s always busy. People are always popping in for a handful of nails, a new hammer, or some plumbing bits they forgot to buy. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to stock as much as possible. Boxes are stacked in the corners and tools hang from the walls. It’s not the most organized place, but we usually know exactly where everything is hidden. If you ask for a specific screw, we can find it eventually. The heat in Ahmedabad can be tough, so we keep a fan going behind the counter all day. My cousin helps out some days, and we have a couple of boys who help with the heavy lifting. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just talk to the people who walk through the door. Most of our customers are regulars from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. We like the noise of the Sandesh Press Road. It makes the day go by faster. It’s just a normal hardware store trying to help folks fix their homes. We have been here a long time.
