S H M Ship Care

S H M Ship Care is located on Salapas Road. You can find us on the first floor of Alief Complex. It is a busy street and sometimes parking is a bit of a nightmare but we manage. We spend most of our time dealing with ships and all the things that go wrong on them. It’s not glamorous work. There is usually a lot of salt and grease involved. We started this because there was a need for someone local who actually knows their way around a hull. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a lot of folders. My cousin works the front desk sometimes and the coffee is usually cold by ten. We just try to help out the boat owners who come in. Sometimes we have to go down to the docks at odd hours. That’s just part of the life. We don’t have a big fancy website or a sales team. People just find us through word of mouth. It’s been that way for years. Salapas Road has changed a lot since we moved in, but we are still here doing the same things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you’re looking for a big corporate office with leather chairs, this isn't the place. But if you need someone to look at your ship equipment, we are usually around.
