Road Building Department

The Road Building Department is situated at C-10, Shantinath Apartment in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad. We’re right behind Medilink Hospital and opposite the Someshwar Derasar temple. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with the Ring Road so close by. Our office isn’t in a big government building; it’s actually inside an apartment complex. This makes it feel a bit more personal and less like a cold institution. We have files piled up and maps of various projects spread out over the tables. Every day, people come in with questions about construction or maintenance, and we do our best to give them a straight answer. It’s not always easy, and there’s a lot of paperwork to move through. The temple across the street is a nice landmark, and sometimes you can hear the bells during the day. We’re just a small group of people trying to manage the local infrastructure as best as we can. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a big budget for decorations. We focus on the practical side of things. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the local roads like the back of our hands. We just want to get the job done so people can get where they’re going. It’s a quiet, steady kind of work that keeps the city moving along.
