Rambhia Dresses

Our shop is No. 4 in Asarpota Chambers. If you know Ahmedabad, you know C.G. Road is always packed with people and cars. We are right by the Swastik Cross Road, which is a very busy spot to be. Rambhia Dresses has been here for a bit, and it’s a small place but we manage. The shop floor is usually crowded with stacks of dresses that we haven't had time to put away yet. Usually, the morning starts with sweeping the front and getting the displays somewhat straight. The sun hits the glass window in the afternoon and it gets pretty warm inside until we turn the AC on. We aren't a big corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a local business where we know most of the people who walk by every day. Sometimes people just stop in to say hello or ask for directions because of the crossroads. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving things around and talking to the wholesalers. The floor tiles are a bit worn out from all the walking, but it gives the place some character, I think. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just open the shutters in the morning, do our work, and close up when it’s late. It’s a simple life here in Ahmedabad and we like being part of the local market scene.
