Rajasthani Handicrafts

You can find us at Plot No. 1 over at Lal Darwaja. We are right across from the Apna Bazar and very close to the State Bank of India branch there. It’s a very central location, so there is always a lot of foot traffic. Rajasthani Handicrafts is a place where we keep all the traditional stuff we find. It’s not a polished gallery or anything. It’s more like a storage space that people can walk through. We spend a lot of time cleaning the items and talking to the people who drop by after doing their banking or shopping at the bazar. The area is quite lively and there’s always some noise from the street vendors outside. We like being part of that energy. We don’t have any big corporate goals. Our main thing is just to keep the shop open and make sure we have a good variety of items for whoever comes in. Some days we are busy moving heavy crates around and other days we just sit and wait for the afternoon rush. It’s a simple life. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and it feels like a real community around Lal Darwaja. We don't put on any acts here. What you see is what you get, just a local shop trying to do things the old-fashioned way. It's a busy corner but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
