Gangotri The U.P. Export Corporation Ltd. is located over in the Kamdhenu Commercial Complex. We are right near the Polytechnic Char Rasta in the Ambawadi area. If you live around here, you know how busy that crossroads can get at almost any hour. Our office handles exports from Uttar Pradesh, which means we have a lot of items coming and going from that part of the country. It is a government-linked setup, but we run it like a regular local business. Inside, the shelves are filled with different crafts and things that people back home have made by hand. Things can get a bit dusty sometimes, and the boxes are often piled high while we wait for shipping. Sales pitches aren't really our style. We just open up in the morning and see what needs to be moved out. The building is an older one, so the elevators can be a bit slow on Monday mornings. A lot of time is spent on the phone or filling out forms for the export side of things. It’s steady work. Seeing all the different products that come through our doors is the best part of the day. Ambawadi is a central spot and people stop by easily. Showrooms aren't what we focus on, just our stock and our desks. We are just doing our part to keep the trade moving along.
