Rachanas Fashion Studio

We set up our studio right on the SG Highway, near the Vaishnodevi Mandir. It’s a very busy part of the road. You can see the temple from nearby, and there are always people traveling past on their way somewhere else. The studio itself is a simple room where we keep all our fashion items. It’s often a bit dusty because of all the construction and traffic on the highway, but we try to keep the inside clean. We spend a lot of time here, usually from early morning until late evening. There’s a lot of light that comes in through the front, which helps when we are looking at colors or fabrics. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or big goals; we just want to keep the studio running and make sure the clothes look right. Sometimes the traffic is so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but that’s just life on the highway. We’ve got a small corner for sitting and a lot of space for the work. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s more of a place where we actually do the cutting and the sewing. People know us because we’ve been at this spot for a while. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the needles and thread. It's a plain, hardworking kind of place for people who just want to get things made without any fuss or extra noise.
