Punjab Chemicals

Our spot is in Excel Estate, right off S.V. Road in Goregaon West. If you’ve ever tried to drive around here in the evening, you know how packed the streets get. We’ve been operating out of this warehouse space for quite a while now. It’s a busy environment with people moving drums and bags around all day. We deal with various chemical supplies, so the place always has a bit of a distinct smell to it. The office is just a small partitioned area in the corner where the accounts and orders get handled. It’s mostly just stacks of ledgers and a couple of old computers that have seen better days. We have a small team, and everyone knows their role. Someone is usually at the loading dock checking the inventory while another person is on the phone with a transport company. We don’t really go in for anything flashy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the labels are on straight. Lunch is usually a group affair in the back, where we talk about everything except work for thirty minutes. Then it’s back to moving stock and updating the registers. It’s a steady rhythm that keeps the day moving along until the shutters finally go down and we head for the train.
