Being located in Phase IV of the Vatva GIDC, right near the big water tank, makes Precious Fab-Cast Pvt. Ltd. pretty easy to find if you know the area. It’s a busy industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of metal hitting metal or the hum of heavy equipment nearby. We do a lot of fabrication and casting here, which means the workshop floor is usually covered in scrap metal and sand. It’s a gritty kind of job. We don’t wear suits; we wear work clothes that usually end up with some stains by the end of the shift. The heat from the furnaces can be intense, especially during the peak of summer, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks whenever we can. We spend our mornings looking over drawings and figuring out how to set up the molds. It’s not always straightforward, and sometimes things don’t cast right the first time, so we have to do it over. That’s just part of the process. We have a small office space at 4809, but most of the action happens on the floor. Our neighbors are all doing similar industrial work, so we often borrow tools or help each other out if a truck gets stuck. It’s a practical place for people who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. We keep the paperwork in old filing cabinets and focus on making sure the parts we cast are solid.
