Pre Fashions

Pre Fashions is tucked away at number 77 in the Hirabhai Market. We are right near the Diwan Balubhai School in the Kankariya area. It’s a very lively part of town, especially when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Kankariya is famous for the lake, but we are a bit further in at the market. Our shop is one of many, but we have our own way of doing things. We mostly focus on clothes and different fashion items. It’s a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for display. Hirabhai Market is the kind of place where you have to know your way around or you might miss us. We have been here for a good amount of time. Every morning we open the shutters and set out a few pieces to show what we have. It’s not a quiet job. There is always someone shouting or a motorbike going by. We talk to the other shopkeepers a lot. We drink tea together when it's slow. People from the neighborhood come to us because we are easy to get to. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people want to see what we have, they just come to the market. It’s a very traditional way of working, and it suits us just fine. We just try to keep the stock fresh and the shop clean. That is our daily life here.
