Plating Chemicals is right at No.49, Venkatachala Mudali Street in the Park Town area. If you’ve ever been to Park Town, you know it’s one of those places where the streets are narrow and every inch of space is used for something. Our shop is no different. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, packed with containers of all sizes. The building is quite old, and you can feel the history in the walls. We’ve been here for a long time, and the name Plating Chemicals is familiar to most of the locals. It’s a busy spot, with people constantly walking by and carts moving goods to and from the main road. The air often has that sharp, metallic smell of chemicals, but after a few hours, you don't even notice it anymore. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept in the maze of shelves. We use an old desk for all our paperwork and keep track of things in handwritten ledgers mostly. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for years. We don’t go for any of that modern corporate talk. We just tell you what we have and what it’s for. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when a few customers come in at once, but we just take them one by one. It’s a steady pace, and we like the hum of life right outside our door.
