Pipes & Pipes

We are down here at L-12 in the K.C.G. Industrial Estate. It’s been a while since we set up shop on Magadi Main Road. Most days start pretty early because the traffic on the road gets heavy fast. Kamakshipalya is a busy spot and we are right in the middle of all that noise. The warehouse is full of stuff, and sometimes it gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in. Pipes & Pipes isn't a fancy place. We have concrete floors and the fans don't always keep the heat away in the afternoons. Most of us have been working together for years now. We know where every single piece is kept, even if it doesn't look like it to someone walking in off the street. There’s always someone loading a truck or checking the lists near the 65/2 gate. It gets dusty, and the tea guy comes around twice a day which is usually a favorite part of the morning. People come in looking for specific parts and we just go find them in the back. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. The industrial estate has a lot of businesses like ours, so there is always the sound of machines or trucks idling nearby. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. It isn't a complicated life, just a lot of metal and hard work. We've seen the area change a lot over the years, but our corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep at it.
