Crystal Alloys & Mfg. Co.

Over at Crystal Alloys & Mfg. Co., we spend our days dealing with various types of metals. Our place is at Plot No. 70/1/B in Phase-1 of the GIDC in Vatva. Vatva is a massive industrial zone, and it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We’ve got the furnaces and the casting equipment all set up in the main shed. It gets pretty warm in there, especially in the afternoons. Making alloys is about getting the mix right, so we have to be careful with the proportions. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get the orders out on time. The office is small and usually has blueprints or order forms scattered across the table. We get the raw materials delivered by truck, and there is always a bit of a scramble to get everything unloaded and stored in the right bins. Phase-1 is a busy part of the GIDC, so there’s always something going on nearby. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time and know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a community of makers and workers. We don't have any polished speeches about what we do. We just work with metal, day in and day out, and try to make sure everything we send out is up to the mark.
