Bajaj Colchem is sitting at Plot No. C-1 89/12 over in Phase-1, GIDC, Vatva. We deal with colors and chemicals here. If you walk into our shop, you’ll see stains of all different shades on the floor. It’s impossible to keep it perfectly clean in this line of work. We’ve been at this location for years. The building is a bit old, but it stays cool enough in the heat. We have a few big mixing vats that take up most of the room. My uncle started the business and he still comes in to check on things. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you just shout for one of us. Usually, we are in the back near the storage area. Vatva can be a confusing place with all the C-1 numbers, but we are right there at 89/12. We don't put out brochures or anything. We just focus on making sure the batches come out okay. Sometimes we stay late to finish a specific mix. It’s quiet in the Gidc at night, which is a nice change from the daytime chaos. We eat our tiffins together at noon. It’s a simple business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a bunch of people working with chemicals every day and trying to keep the machines from breaking down too often.
