The air around Plot No. 547 in Phase-2 of GIDC, Vatva, always has a particular smell to it. That is just the nature of working in chemicals. We spend our days here mixing, measuring, and checking batches. It is a lot of standing on your feet and watching gauges. Our facility is not some high-tech glass building you see in movies. It is a practical space with tanks, pipes, and plenty of safety gear hanging on the walls. We have been in Vatva long enough to remember when some of the neighboring plots were still empty. Now, it is crowded and busy, with trucks constantly backing in and out of the narrow lanes. Sometimes the delivery arrives late and we have to stay behind to get everything unloaded and stored properly. We don't talk much about visions or anything like that here. We just make sure the chemical compositions are right and the drums are sealed tight before they go out. The humidity in Gujarat can be tough, especially when you are wearing protective overalls, but we are used to it by now. The lunchroom is just a few plastic chairs in a shaded corner where we talk about the cricket scores or the price of fuel. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time without much fuss. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving.
