We are right at the Maninagar Char Rasta in the Bhagwan Chambers building. If you know Ahmedabad, you know how crazy this intersection can get. There are always rickshaws honking and people rushing to catch the train at the station nearby. Our place is on one of the floors of the chambers, so you have to come up the stairs or use the lift if it’s working right. Because we are at the Char Rasta, it’s never really quiet here. Even late at night, you can hear the city moving outside. We have people coming in at all hours, often with heavy suitcases and looking very tired from their travels. We spend a lot of time checking IDs and writing names in the register book. The furniture in the rooms is just the standard stuff you’d expect. We don't have a fancy view, mostly just the roofs of other buildings and the street below. The hallway is a bit narrow and we have to be careful when moving laundry around. It gets really hot in the summer, so the fans are always spinning at full speed. We mostly just keep to ourselves and make sure the guests have their keys and some water. It’s a busy spot to run a business but being near the heart of Maninagar keeps us on our toes every day. We just try to keep things organized despite the chaos outside.
