You will find us in Maninagar, right behind the Swaminarayan Temple and near the old railway crossing. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the chanting quite often, which is actually kind of nice. The railway crossing is a different story, though, with the trains going by and the horns blowing at all hours of the day and night. You get used to it after a while, but new people always notice it first thing. We are in the 380008 area, which is a busy part of Ahmedabad. The hotel itself is just a plain building, nothing that stands out too much from the other houses and shops around us. We have a small staff, mostly just local guys who know the area well. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because the dust from the trains and the road seems to settle on everything if you don't keep up with it. It is a practical place to stay if you need to be in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy entrance or a doorman. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. Usually, that is one of us trying to sort out the ledger or checking the room keys. It’s just a normal business trying to keep things going day by day. We don't spend much on decorations, we just make sure the rooms are ready for whoever arrives.
