Our office is down on the ground floor at No. 4 in the Medicine Market, right opposite the Shefali Shopping Centre. It is a very busy area with people moving boxes and trucks loading and unloading stuff all day long. Numex Chemical Corporation isn't a big laboratory; it’s more of a distribution point for the trade. We handle a lot of paperwork and spend time making sure the right chemicals get delivered to the right people at the right time. The space is filled with files and some samples sitting on the shelves here and there. It’s a bit dark inside since we are on the ground floor and don't get much natural light, but we have lamps to see what we are doing. Being across from Shefali Shopping Centre means there is always a crowd and a lot of noise outside our door. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you when you walk in. You just come in and find us sitting at our desks working. The air in the market always has a faint smell of medicine and cardboard boxes. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking our inventory lists. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure we don't mix up any orders. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s necessary for the businesses we supply. We have been in this spot for a long time now and we know how the market works. It’s a tight community of traders.
