Oswal Trading Co is right by the Thakorvas Naka near Madhupura Chowk. It’s right in the middle of all the action in Madhupura. The streets are narrow and it can get quite congested with all the carts and people. Our place is simple. We have the main area where we keep the stock and a small corner where we sit. It’s a bit dusty because of the location, but we don't mind. We've been at this spot for years and everyone around here knows us. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just show up every morning and wait for the regulars. Sometimes we drink tea with the other shop owners while we wait for deliveries. It’s a very communal way of doing things. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know the rhythm of the market. We know when it’s going to be busy and when it’s going to be quiet. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just use the ceiling fans and keep the doors open. It’s a very honest way to work.
