Opal Products

Opal Products operates out of the Three View Building, specifically unit 2/9, right across from Century Bazaar in Prabhadevi. Mumbai is a crowded place, and our area is no different. We are in an old building that has seen a lot of history. There is a specific smell of the city here, a mix of the sea and the market nearby. We manufacture and handle various products, and the space is always filled with the sound of packing tape and boxes being shifted. We don't have much room for a lobby, so guests usually just stand near the main table. It’s a very hands-on environment. Our staff is local, and many of them have been with us since the beginning. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make things, pack them, and send them out to whoever ordered them. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment needs to go out, and we order some vada pav from the stall downstairs. It’s not a polished corporate life. We have stacks of registers and a couple of old fans that creak when they turn. We know the security guard and the other shop owners on the street. It’s a community. We focus on getting the counts right and making sure nothing gets broken in transit. That’s about it. We just come in, do our bit, and hope the traffic isn't too bad when it’s time to head home.
