We’ve been here at the Matulya Centre for a good long while now. Lower Parel has changed so much around us over the years. It used to be all old mills and quiet lanes, but now it's full of these fancy malls and high-rise offices. We just keep doing our thing inside unit 3 of the ‘A’ wing. It gets incredibly busy during the day with all the traffic on Senapati Bapat Marg, but we’ve learned to tune it out. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things. It’s not a flashy office by any means, just a practical place where the actual work gets done. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which isn't the worst thing. The little tea stall downstairs is where we usually end up talking about the day's shipments or whatever is going on in the city. People know where to find us when they need something. We don't spend much time on fancy websites or big speeches about the future. We just focus on the inventory and the mountain of paperwork that comes with running an industrial business in Mumbai. It’s a lot of coordination between the suppliers and the customers. You just learn to deal with the noise and the fast pace of this area. We have a small team, and everyone knows their role without being told. We just try to keep things moving.
