Getting to Gali No. 4 in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area is always a bit of a challenge, especially in the mornings when the delivery vans are blocking the narrow lanes. Our spot is at D-26/13 and it stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Omega Bright Steel Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this space for a while now, and you can definitely tell by the way the floor looks. There is always a layer of fine dust and the sound of metal being moved around, which you just get used to after a week or two. The neighbors are mostly other small factories, so there is a lot of noise throughout the day. We have a small desk near the front where we handle all the logbooks and the incoming mail. It gets quite hot in the summer months because the ceiling is high and the fans don't always do the trick, but we manage with plenty of cold water. We aren't really into fancy decorations or making the place look like a corporate office. It’s a workshop environment through and through. Lunch is usually a quick affair, sometimes ordered from the dhaba down the street. Most of the guys here have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the machines sound when they are running right. It’s just a regular, hardworking day at D-26/13 for everyone involved. That is how we have always done things.
