Shivshakti Engineering Works

You can find us over at B 15 in the Shree Ram Estate, which is in the Odhav area. We are pretty close to Vishala Estate, so there are always lots of trucks and tempos moving around these narrow lanes. Our shop isn't very large, but we have crammed a lot of machinery into the space we have. Most of our days are spent covered in a bit of oil or metal shavings because that is just the nature of engineering work. We handle a lot of different jobs, mostly things people in the surrounding industrial estates need help with. It’s a noisy neighborhood with the sound of hammers and lathes running from early morning until late evening. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take a break when things get too hectic. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, so we know most of the other shop owners around Shree Ram Estate. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or a reception desk. It’s just a workspace where we get our hands dirty making parts or fixing machines that have broken down. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but usually, we are just grinding away at whatever project is on the bench that day. We prefer it this way, just doing the work and not worrying about anything else. It is a practical life for us here in the estate.
