We’ve been here at unit 18 in the Laxmi Industrial Estate for quite a long time now. If you know Gujarat Bottling Road in Rakhial, you know it gets pretty busy with all the trucks and workers moving around. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular industrial shed where we get the work done. We handle different chemicals and supplies every day. Most mornings start with checking the inventory and seeing what needs to be shipped out. The heat in Ahmedabad can be tough in the summers, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. It’s a lot of manual work, moving drums around and making sure everything is labeled right. Our neighbors in the estate are mostly other small factories, so we all know each other. Sometimes the road gets blocked by a delivery truck, and we have to wait it out. That’s just how it is here in Rakhial. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a small desk in the corner where we keep the books. People come by to pick up orders or just to ask about prices. We try to be fair and just do a good job so the customers keep coming back. It’s a simple operation, really. We’ve seen the area change over the years, more buildings going up, but our little spot stays the same. Just everyday work for us. It’s not much, but it’s ours.
