Industrial Chemical Works

We occupy the plots B1/1/2/3 in Phase 2 of the GIDC. It is a fairly large space, right across from the Dipak Oil Mill. You can usually tell when the mill is running because of the specific scent that drifts over to our side of the road. Industrial Chemical Works is exactly what it sounds like—a place where we handle a lot of different substances and process them. The building itself has seen better days, with some faded paint and cracked pavement in the yard, but the equipment inside is kept in good shape. We have a lot of pipes and tanks everywhere, and it requires a lot of walking back and forth to keep an eye on everything. There is no air conditioning in the main work areas, so we rely on big ceiling fans that hum all day long. The office is just a small room partitioned off with some plywood where the ledgers and records are kept. We don't use much fancy software; mostly it’s just pen and paper and a lot of memory. The neighbors are mostly other industrial units, so we all understand the noise and the occasional mess. It’s a practical life here. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on getting the drums filled and the trucks loaded so we can do it all again the next morning.
