Nakshi Designs Structures & Interiors

We’ve been based out of C-6 in Navrang Super Market for quite some time now. If you know the Navrangpura area, you probably know where the bus stop is. We’re right opposite that. The noise of buses coming and going is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Nakshi Designs Structures & Interiors is really just a few of us working on various structures and interior jobs. Some days the office is a total mess with floor plans and material samples scattered all over the desks. Don't expect a fancy showroom. Traveling between the shop here in Ahmedabad 380009 and various construction sites takes up most of our hours. Figuring out how to make a space work without it costing too much is a big part of the job, and it’s always harder than it sounds. Sometimes we’re arguing over where a wall should go or why a certain beam isn’t sitting right. That’s just the reality of this work. People often drop by while they’re passing through the market anyway. When the Navrangpura heat gets to be too much, the chai stall nearby basically becomes our second office. You won't find a big corporate setup or a front desk person here. Usually, one of us is just hunched over a computer or on the phone with a contractor. Most of the day is spent getting drawings done and keeping the site on track. It gets exhausting when materials don't show up, but that’s the business.
