Our office is situated on the third floor of the Motilal Centre on Ashram Road. It is a very busy area, especially being so close to Dinesh Hall. We are right in the middle of all the action. We deal with various chemicals, mostly acting as the link between the manufacturers and the people who need the stuff for their own factories. The office is basically a few rooms full of filing cabinets, computers, and phones that never seem to stop ringing. We spend most of our time coordinating deliveries and making sure the paperwork is correct for the transport authorities. It is a lot of logistics work and making sure everything moves on time. We don't have a laboratory here; it is strictly the administrative and sales side of the business. The building itself is quite busy, with people from different companies constantly moving up and down the stairs. We have a small pantry where we make coffee and take short breaks. The view from the window is just the busy street below, which is always packed with cars and buses. We don't go in for big advertisements or promotional events. Our business is built on long-term contacts and knowing exactly where to find specific chemicals when a customer asks for them. We keep our overheads low and our focus on the daily tasks. It’s a straightforward operation. We come in early, handle the orders, and try to make sure everything is shipped out by evening.
