Our main office is at GHCL House, right across from the Punjabi Hall in Navrangpura. It’s a busy part of Ahmedabad, especially near the Navrangpura street market. I handle the logistics side of things, making sure the trucks and shipments are where they need to be. My mobile number is on the cards because things happen at all hours in the chemical business. It’s not a desk job where you can just switch off at five. We deal with heavy chemicals, which means a lot of paperwork and safety checks that never seem to end. The building itself is a landmark for us, a place where we’ve spent many long afternoons tracking cargo. Ahmedabad is a great city for this kind of work, very central. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or art for the walls. We spend it on making sure the transport is reliable. Sometimes the traffic in the city makes my job a nightmare, but you get used to it. The team here is pretty tight-knit. We talk a lot of business, but we also know about each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to get the soda ash or whatever else moved from point A to point B without any leaks or delays. It’s basic, hard work, and that’s how we like it. We keep our boots on and keep moving.
