Our place at Medicon Biosystem is located in the Sidco Electronics Complex over in Guindy. We have blocks 36 and 39. It’s a big industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and people in uniforms walking around. Being in Guindy means we are right in the middle of the action, which is helpful for logistics. We deal with biosystem equipment, so the rooms have to be kept a certain way, though the hallways can get a bit cluttered with crates sometimes. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because of all the electronics we have tucked away in there. It’s a lot of technical work, checking sensors and making sure the systems are calibrated right. Most of the staff has some kind of technical background, but we talk like normal people, not like some textbook. The complex itself is quite old, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and testing out parts. It can be tedious when things don’t work on the first try, but we just keep at it until it’s right. There isn't much flash to what we do. It’s just a lot of testing and re-testing in a hot industrial park.
