We are over at plot number 14 in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Naroda. It’s a busy corner of the estate. We make pumps here, mostly. If you walk into the shop, you’ll hear the sound of metal being worked on and the hum of the testing tanks. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the noise because it means things are moving. We’ve got a good group of mechanics and engineers who stay busy with the assembly. The office is tucked away in the front, mostly full of stacks of blueprints and order forms. Naroda is a good spot for us because the logistics are easy for the suppliers to find. Sometimes the rain causes a bit of a puddle near the entrance, but we’ve learned to step around it. We don't use any high-tech gadgets for our day-to-day management; it’s mostly just notebooks and whiteboards. People stop by to ask about different pump models, and we show them what’s on the floor. It’s a straightforward business. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the fanciest. We just want to make sure the pumps we send out actually work when they get installed. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here in Naroda. It keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
