We have been working out of our office at 110, Mahakant for quite some time now. This part of Ashram Road in Ahmedabad is always moving, especially being right across from V S Hospital. Most days, the place is a bit of a mess with blueprints and material samples scattered around the desks. It is just how things go when you are balancing architecture and interior design projects. Being near Ellis Bridge means we get to see the riverfront change through the seasons. Our space isn't very large, but it serves us well for the kind of work Mauli Gandhi and the rest of us do. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking over drawings or talking to contractors on the phone. It is a simple setup without many frills. We like it that way because it keeps the focus on the actual drawings and plans. People usually find us easily because the Mahakant building is a known spot on this side of the road. There is always someone coming or going, whether it is a delivery or a client stopping by to check on their project status. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks for the day. It is honest work and we have been at it in this same spot for a while now.
