You can find us over in Odhav at Birju Nagar. Specifically, we’re at number 26, right behind the Gopinath Estate near the NH-8 highway. Being so close to the highway means there’s a constant drone of heavy trucks passing by, which you just get used to after a week. Soni Ni Chawl is the landmark most people use to find their way around here. Our office is tucked away in a spot that’s not too easy to find if you’re a stranger, but the locals know the way. We deal with various industrial supplies and trade work. The space is a bit tight, with samples and catalogs taking up most of the room on the shelves. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the phone calls and the paperwork. The walls are a plain white that’s gone a bit yellow over time. We have an old calendar on the wall that we forget to flip sometimes. Most of our work is done over the phone or by people dropping in to check on their orders. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or marketing materials. We just focus on keeping track of our inventory and making sure the deliveries get to where they need to go. It’s a straightforward operation. When it rains, the sound on the corrugated roof is so loud we can barely hear each other talk. It’s just the reality of working in this part of Odhav.
