Laxmi Childhospital

We have been here at New Wadaj Road for a good while now. It's right opposite the Mehsana Society, so it is easy for people to find us if they know the area. Being a hospital for children means it gets a bit loud sometimes with kids crying or running around the waiting room, but that’s just how it goes. My desk is usually covered in papers and some toys left behind by mistake. Most days we are just busy keeping things moving and making sure everyone gets seen. The traffic outside on the main Wadaj road can get pretty bad during the evenings, so we hear a lot of horns while we work. It’s a local place, nothing fancy or shiny. We have the usual chairs and some posters on the walls about health stuff. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know many of the families who walk in through the door. Sometimes a parent comes back just to say thanks or to show how much their kid has grown since the last visit. We don't really do big advertisements because people mostly just see the sign while walking past or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a practical setup, focused on getting the work done every day. We try to keep things clean, but with kids, there's always a bit of a mess somewhere. That is just life in a child hospital. We stay open pretty late to make sure we are here when parents get off work.
