Being up on the sixth floor means we get a bit of a view of the city, though we are usually too busy looking at our desks to notice it much. The elevator in the complex can be a bit slow during lunch hours, but it’s a good place to work. Our office is filled with everything from fabric samples to technical manuals for plumbing. We do both the big architecture jobs and the smaller interior decorating stuff. It’s a lot of juggling different tasks. One hour we might be talking about a steel beam and the next we are looking at different shades of paint. We aren't a polished corporate office with matching furniture; our chairs are mismatched and the shelves are overflowing with old project files. We just like to get our hands dirty with the details. Ashram Road is always moving, and we try to keep up with that energy. Clients come up to B 606 to sit down and go over their dreams for their new office or home. We try to be honest about what will work and what won't, even if it’s not what they want to hear at first. It’s just a regular office where we work hard and try to keep things moving forward.
