You can find Konark Machine Tools over at 1, Anand Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, though the machines make their own noise once we get them going. We’ve been here for a good stretch. The neighborhood has changed some, but we’re still in the same place. People around here know us for the tools and the metalwork we handle. It’s a lot of grease and heavy lifting, honestly. Not the kind of job where you stay clean for very long. My shirt is usually stained by ten in the morning. We have a few guys working the floor. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. Usually, it’s just someone walking in with a part they need fixed or looking for a specific tool. The rain gets a bit much sometimes, especially with the roof leaking a little in the corner, but we manage. We just keep the machines oiled. It’s honest work. If you walk past the gate, you’ll hear the clanking. That’s just us. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just the one that stays open and gets things finished. Sometimes we have tea out front when things slow down in the afternoon. It’s a regular life. Nothing like the big corporations. Just us and our tools in Anand Nagar.
