Kohinoor Engineering Works

We are located at number 39 inside the Bharatkhand Cotton Mill Compound in Asarwa. It’s an old area with a lot of history, and you can still feel that when you walk through the gates. Kohinoor Engineering Works has been here in this same spot for years, and we’ve seen the surroundings change quite a bit. The workshop itself is full of heavy machinery and the smell of cutting oil. We don't have a modern office with air conditioning; we just have the big open doors that let in whatever breeze there is. Most of the day is spent working on metal parts or fixing engines that people bring to us. It can get pretty loud when all the lathes are running at once, but that’s just the sound of things getting done. We have some old benches where we sit for lunch, usually brought from home in tiffin boxes. The compound has a few other small businesses too, so there is always someone passing by or stopping to borrow a tool. We don’t really do any advertising or anything like that. People in Ahmedabad who need this kind of engineering work usually find us through word of mouth. It’s a simple, honest way to work, and we take pride in knowing how to handle the machines. It’s a bit greasy and loud, but it is what we know best after all this time.
