Kanak Hotel

We’ve been sitting right here across from Gujarat College in Ellisbridge for quite a while. It’s a good spot because there are always students and teachers walking around. The hotel isn't one of those massive glass buildings you see in the newer parts of town. It’s a more traditional building with a lot of history. We handle everything from the front desk ourselves. If you call, you’re likely talking to me or one of the guys who has worked here for ten years. We don't use those automated phone systems. It’s just a basic place to stay if you’re in Ahmedabad for a few days. The rooms are standard and we keep them as neat as we can. Ellisbridge is a busy area, but once you're inside, it’s a bit quieter. We don't offer fancy spa treatments or anything. People come here because it's convenient and they know what to expect. We see a lot of parents visiting their kids at the college. Sometimes we run out of tea in the morning when everyone wakes up at once, but we just make more. It’s a real place with real people working in it. We don't have a big corporate logo or a mission statement on the wall. We just open the doors every morning and do our best to help whoever walks through. It’s simple, but it works for us and our guests who have been coming back for years.
