Jaain Chemicals

We’re located at West Tambaram, and our address can be a bit confusing because it’s Old No. 2-A but also New No. 13-A on Gandhi Road. We tell people to just look for the shop near the corner if they get lost. Jaain Chemicals has been around for a while, and we’ve settled into this space quite well. The office and storage area are basically the same place, so you’ll see plenty of containers and samples sitting around on the shelves. It’s a bit dusty, as you might expect on Gandhi Road, and the heat in Tambaram can be quite something in the middle of the day. We have a couple of ceiling fans that work overtime to keep us cool. Our team is just a few people who have learned everything about the business by actually doing it. We don't have a lot of fancy technology; it’s mostly just a phone that rings a lot and a computer for keeping track of the stock. Most of our customers are locals or businesses from the nearby areas who have been buying from us for years. We spend a lot of time talking to people and making sure they get exactly what they need. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just open up, check the inventory, and spend the day making sure the orders are ready for pick-up before the evening rush starts.
