Our place is out in Phase-II of the GIDC Estate in Vatva, specifically at number 36. It’s an industrial hub, so there’s always a bit of dust and the sound of machinery in the background. We work with colors and chemicals, mostly sitting around the lab or the packing area. It’s a lot of routine, checking batches and making sure the shades are right. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out like it should, and we have to start over. That’s just the nature of the work. The office isn't anything to look at, just a place to keep the books and take calls. We’ve got a small group of workers who’ve been with us since the early days. We eat lunch together and complain about the commute or the power cuts. It feels like a small community inside the estate. We don't have any grand plans to change the world. We just want to make sure the orders go out on time and the quality is decent. If you’re coming to see us, you have to navigate through all the trucks on the main estate road. It can be a headache, but we’ve gotten used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day. There’s no point in dressing it up as something else. We make the colors, package them up, and send them on their way to whoever needs them for their own production lines.
