Hylite Cables

Hylite Cables is based out of Plot No.49 in the G.I.D.C. Estate at Vithal Udyognagar. It’s an industrial area, so it’s all about warehouses and trucks moving around. Our place is pretty basic. We have a manufacturing area and then a small office section where we handle the books. We make cables, which is a lot of copper and plastic and heat. It gets pretty hot in the summer, especially near the machines, but we just keep the big doors open for a breeze. We aren't a big multinational company. We’re a local outfit that’s been around the estate for years. Everyone knows everyone else around here. We don't have any glossy brochures. If you want to see what we do, you just come by the plot and look for yourself. We focus on making sure the cables are thick enough and the insulation is right. It’s honest work. Most of the guys on the floor have been with us since we first opened. We don't have a human resources department or anything like that. If there's a problem, we just talk it over. We like the grit of the industrial estate. It feels like real work is being done. We just try to keep the machines running and the orders going out the gate on time. That's our life here at Plot 49.
