Our hotel is located at 3/A Gitanjali Society. It’s in the Gordhanwadi Tekra area of Kankaria, right here in Ahmedabad. Being near Kankaria Lake is nice because it’s a big landmark that people always recognize. Hotel Sahaj Palace isn't one of those massive skyscrapers. We are tucked into a society area, which makes it feel a bit more like a home than a big cold building. We have guests coming in for weddings, family visits, or just to see the lake and the zoo nearby. The building is a few stories high and we have to keep an eye on everything ourselves. From the front desk to the rooms, it’s all handled by our small crew. We don't have fancy uniforms or a five-star lobby with marble floors. It’s just a plain, decent place to sleep. The street out front is usually busy with people walking and rickshaws zooming by at all hours. Sometimes the neighbors are a bit loud, but that’s just part of life in a society like this. We spend our days checking people in, answering questions, and making sure the rooms are ready for the next person. It’s hard work, especially when it’s 40 degrees outside and the air conditioning is working overtime. We just do what needs to be done. We’ve been here in the 380028 area for a good while and we know the neighborhood really well. It’s a simple business run by regular people.
