Hotel Maharaja

If you find yourself over by Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad, you will see Hotel Maharaja right across from the Balvatika. We are also sitting directly opposite Jaldhara Water World, so there is always a lot of families and kids running around the neighborhood, especially on the weekends when everyone is out for a walk. Our address is in the 380022 zip code area. It is a lively part of the city to be in. We have been here at this spot for quite a while. The hotel is a simple building where we provide rooms to people visiting the lake or coming into Ahmedabad for work. Because we are so close to the water world and the park, things can get pretty noisy during the day with all the music and people having fun outside. But once the sun goes down and the attractions close, it gets a lot quieter. We do not have a big lobby or anything like that. It is mostly just the front desk and the rooms. We spend our days making sure everything is in order and talking to the guests about where to find a good meal nearby. The rooms are plain and we do not use any fancy stuff. It is just a place to sleep and wash up. We like being part of the Kankaria community. It feels like a real neighborhood where people know each other, and we are just one of the businesses trying to do a decent job every day.
