Hotel Comfort Inn Sunset, Ahmedabad

You can find us at number 18 in Geetanagar Society. We are right off National Highway 8, which stays pretty loud with all the trucks and cars passing through Ahmedabad at all hours. Being near the Viratnagar Cross Road means we get a lot of travelers who are just passing through and need a place to stop for a bit. The hotel is in Odhav, which is a big industrial area, so things are always moving and shaking. We’ve got the Sunset sign out front, though it’s seen better days with the sun and the rain hitting it over the years. Inside, it’s just a standard setup. We keep the lobby tidy and wait for the next person to walk through the door. Sometimes the traffic on N.H. 8 makes it hard to hear ourselves think, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't one of those fancy high-rise hotels you see in the downtown areas. We are a bit more grounded and simple. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know all the shortcuts around the neighborhood if anyone asks for directions. The rooms are what they are—places to sleep and rest. We spend our shifts checking people in and making sure the laundry gets done properly. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps the place running. People stay here because they know we are easy to reach from the highway. It’s just a regular business on a busy road.
