Smit Medimed Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away at Plot No. 10 in Phase-1. We are right behind Prashant Eng, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. The area is mostly industrial, so there are always sounds of metal and engines nearby. Our plot is a decent size for what we do. We have been here for a number of years and the building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough. Inside, we have our stock of medical supplies and a small area for the clerical work. It gets pretty hot in the summer months because the roof is made of metal sheets, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or bike in. We don't really have a big sign out front, just the number on the gate. It’s a straightforward operation where we focus on getting the medimed items sorted and sent out to whoever needs them. Sometimes the rain causes a bit of mud near the entrance, but we just put down some planks and keep going. We aren't big on meetings or anything like that; we just talk over things while we work. It’s a small group of us and we’ve worked together for a long time. There’s a tea shop near the main road where we get our morning break fix. We just keep things moving along day by day without much fuss.
