Galaxy Plastic

Galaxy Plastic is tucked away in Shri Ram Estate, right behind the C.M.C. building in Odhav. Our workshop is at Plot No. 28-29, and if you have ever been around this part of the industrial compound, you know it is a busy area. There is always the sound of machines running and the smell of heated plastic in the air. We have been in this spot for a long time, working with different types of molds and materials. It is a bit crowded inside with all the bags of raw granules and the finished parts piled up, but we know where everything is. The entrance to Anup Engg. Compound can be tricky for the big delivery trucks, so there is usually a bit of shouting and signaling going on when a shipment arrives. We do not have any shiny reception desks or a marketing team. Most of the time, the owners are right there on the floor with the staff, checking the machines or fixing a belt that snapped. We eat our lunch together near the main door where there is a bit of a breeze. On rainy days, the estate gets a bit muddy, but we just put on our boots and keep the production line going. It is hard work, and the machines make a lot of noise, but it’s how we make our living here in Odhav.
