Event Management From Radio Mirchi

Our place is located in Purushottamnagar Society, which is over in the New Vadaj area of Ahmedabad. It’s house number 27. Since it’s a residential society, it doesn't feel like a cold office building. It feels more like a home that happens to have desks and chairs instead of sofas. Being part of the Radio Mirchi setup means there is always something going on with events, though our actual workspace is pretty grounded. We have some posters on the walls and plenty of wires tucked behind the tables. New Vadaj is a decent area, quite central, so getting around the city from here isn't too bad. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to be too loud, even when we are planning big events. You can usually hear the sounds of the street outside, like the vegetable sellers or the local traffic. Inside, it's just a group of us working through spreadsheets and making calls to vendors. We have a small area where we keep all the event gear and boxes that we need for different shows. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we manage. There isn’t a fancy sign outside, just the number on the gate. We take turns making coffee or going out to get snacks when we’ve been working too long. It is a practical space for practical people doing their daily jobs.
