Ekta Events

We’re up on the second floor of the Agrawal Complex on C. G. Road. If you know the area near the Municipal Market in Navrangpura, you know it’s usually quite a scramble to find parking. Our office is a bit of a mess most days, filled with samples of fabrics and half-finished floor plans for various gatherings. We’ve been doing this for a while under the name Ekta Events. It’s not like those big agencies you see in movies. It’s just a few of us sitting around desks piled high with notebooks and schedules. We spend a lot of our time on our phones, talking to vendors or checking on deliveries. Navrangpura is a good place to be because we’re close to everything we might need for our work. The building itself is a bit older, and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, so we often just take the stairs. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just try to make sure everything is where it should be when the day of an event comes around. Sometimes things go wrong, like a supplier being late, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just the nature of the work. We enjoy the chaos of it, mostly. It’s a practical business, and we don't try to make it seem more glamorous than it is. We’re just here to do the job and help out the folks who walk through our door.
