Bhimani Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is over at 510, Mahakant Complex. Ellisbridge is always crowded, especially since V. S. Hospital is right there across from us. Traffic is usually a mess during the day. The office is on the fifth floor of an old building. The lift is slow and sometimes it feels like it might get stuck, so most of us just walk up the stairs. Inside our space, it’s mostly just desks piled with folders and samples of different chemical products. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking the inventory lists. You can hear the traffic from the street constantly honking below. It’s a bit of a background hum that you get used to after working here for a week. During lunch, some of us go down to the small food stalls near the hospital gates. The tea there is strong and very cheap. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years because it’s central, even if the building itself is showing its age. We don’t have any big posters or fancy displays on the walls, just a few calendars and some charts for the different things we handle. It’s a quiet office for the most part, except when the deliveries arrive and everyone has to move things around. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized in the middle of all the paperwork and daily calls.
